Review by hotel critic
Review of Chesa Hotel: A Balance of Luxury and ValueI had the pleasure of staying at the Chesa recently, situated conveniently near St Moritz, which is ideal for both nordic skiing and alpine enthusiasts. The hotel's proximity to the trails and slopes truly enhances its appeal for active families, like mine. The rooms are decorated in a modern alpine lounge style, offering soundproofing that surpasses many five-star establishments. Facilities such as free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and tea/coffee amenities were readily available, providing a comfortable atmosphere for relaxation after a day of outdoor activities. The housekeeping services ensured a consistently tidy and welcoming environment. Ueli and Evelyn, the owners, embody outstanding service, attending to every detail with care. The breakfast was notably satisfying, featuring warm homemade bread and delicious local jams. I appreciated the option of local beer and whisky, making it easy to unwind. While the Chesa may not be the most luxurious option, it offers remarkable value considering the high level of service and engaging atmosphere. For families or individuals seeking a blend of comfort and outdoor adventure, this hotel is a prudent choice. I look forward to my next visit.
